The leaders gave their remarks during visits to the Dangote Group exhibition stand at the 2025 Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) in Algiers, Algeria. The stand, one of the most visited at the fair, drew major interest around polypropylene (PP)—a key product of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. PP, widely used in everything from food packaging to automobile components, is prized globally for its durability, light weight, and resistance to heat and chemicals.
In their separate delegations, the visiting dignitaries praised Dangote’s investments in Nigeria and across Africa, noting how they have boosted industrialisation, job creation, and economic development across the continent. They were warmly received by Engr. Mansur Ahmed, Special Adviser and Representative of Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote, alongside Garba El-Suleiman, Group Head, Commercial Foods, and other senior executives.
As a Premier Partner of IATF2025, Dangote Group is showcasing its diverse businesses spanning cement, fertilisers, petrochemicals, refined petroleum products, sugar, salt, and logistics. With over 18 subsidiaries, the conglomerate plays a pivotal role in Africa’s industrial transformation. The highly anticipated “Dangote Special Day” is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the fair.
The biennial IATF, organised by Afreximbank in partnership with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, brings together government leaders, investors, and over 2,000 exhibitors from across Africa and beyond. This year’s edition is projected to generate more than $44 billion in trade and investment deals through exhibitions, forums, and business-to-business engagements.
