Ebuka Obi Launches Mission to Rescue and Support the Mentally Challenged

Across Nigeria, countless individuals living with mental health challenges often struggle without access to proper care, shelter, or medical support—many are left to survive on the streets.
Stepping in to address this pressing issue, Seraphic Homes Foundation, founded by Evangelist Ebuka Obi, Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, established a psychiatric hospital in Aguleri, Anambra State. The facility provides free, comprehensive psychiatric care and rehabilitation, giving mentally challenged individuals a safe place off the streets.
The foundation has been actively rescuing mentally challenged individuals from the streets of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, and Ebonyi, with plans to extend this life-changing mission across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. At Seraphic Psychiatric Hospital, patients receive full medical care, meals, accommodation, and social rehabilitation—all completely free.
To date, over twenty individuals have been rescued from Anambra and Imo, with the initiative gradually expanding into other southeastern states like Enugu and Ebonyi, and even reaching parts of the South-South region.
Through ongoing outreach and medical support, the foundation aims not only to treat untreated mental health conditions but also to restore dignity, hope, and a sense of belonging to some of society’s most vulnerable members.
