Since its debut in 2016, the GTCO Fashion Weekend has grown into one of Africa’s biggest stages for fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship — a celebration of style and innovation that fuels Nigeria’s expanding creative economy. Every year, thousands of designers, small business owners, and fashion lovers converge on Lagos to experience the vibrancy, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit that define African fashion.

This year’s theme, “Fashion Is Freedom,” captures GTCO’s belief that creativity and enterprise are powerful forces for cultural identity and economic growth.

Speaking ahead of the event, Segun Agbaje, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, said:

“Fashion isn’t just about what we wear — it’s about expression, resilience, and innovation. At GTCO, we see fashion as a catalyst for empowerment, job creation, and storytelling. Through the GTCO Fashion Weekend, we’re proud to provide a global platform that amplifies Africa’s creative voice and showcases the limitless potential of our people.”

Guests can look forward to runway showcases, immersive masterclasses, and a bustling retail marketplace featuring a mix of local and international talent. Designers such as Ituen Basi, The BAM Collective, Sevon Dejana, Mmuso Maxwell, Mowalola, and Priya Ahluwalia will unveil stunning collections that blend craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary design.

Adding depth to the experience, global fashion experts will host insightful sessions on sustainability, digital retail, brand growth, and creative entrepreneurship, equipping emerging designers with the knowledge to scale their impact.
