The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has joined the people of Anambra and beyond in celebrating His Royal Majesty, Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Nnaji Orizu III, CON, JP, the Igwe of Nnewi, as the revered monarch marks an extraordinary milestone — his 100th birthday.
Thank you for visiting The Vestigator, don't forget to share!
In a heartfelt message, Governor Soludo described the centenary celebration as a “historic and deeply inspiring achievement,” honouring the Igwe for his unwavering leadership, wisdom, and lifelong service to his people.
“Reaching the age of 100 is a rare blessing — a symbol of divine grace, strength, and resilience,” the Governor said. “What makes it even more remarkable is that His Majesty continues to serve with the same clarity, insight, and wisdom that have guided his 62-year reign.”
According to Christian Aburime, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Soludo praised the Igwe’s reign as a beacon of stability and wisdom through changing times. For more than six decades, Igwe Orizu has been a pillar of unity and peace, a custodian of culture, and a bridge-builder whose influence extends far beyond the borders of Nnewi.
The Governor noted that the Igwe’s impact reaches into the heart of national development — fostering peace, encouraging economic growth, and nurturing social harmony. His national honours, including the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and Justice of the Peace (JP), stand as testament to the respect he commands across Nigeria.
Governor Soludo expressed profound gratitude and admiration for the monarch’s enduring service and prayed for continued strength, divine favour, and long life.
“As Nnewi and the entire Anambra State celebrate this historic occasion,” Soludo said, “we thank God for the life of a king whose reign continues to bring prosperity, wisdom, and peace to our people. May His Majesty’s light continue to shine for many more years to come.”
