The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Ogun I Command Chapter, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Mrs. Fausat Otunla, has extended a warm hand of care to communities in Idiroko through a remarkable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach.

On Tuesday, the association visited both the General Hospital, Idiroko, and the Customs Medical Center, Idiroko, donating mosquito nets and bed sheets to improve patient comfort and family well-being.
At the General Hospital, the COWA delegation was received by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kilanko Margaret, and senior staff. They toured the wards, where patients and pregnant women attending antenatal clinics received mosquito nets, while the hospital itself was presented with 50 new bed sheets. Expressing gratitude, Dr. Kilanko commended COWA’s generosity, describing the gesture as timely support for patient welfare. A representative of the pregnant women, Mrs. Sodiq Ola, also offered thanks and heartfelt prayers for the association.
The goodwill continued at the Customs Medical Center, where more mosquito nets and customized bed sheets were presented. Accepting the items, SC Dr. Abdulmalik Zakariyyah, on behalf of the medical team, conveyed sincere appreciation for COWA’s thoughtful contributions.
Speaking during the exercise, Mrs. Fausat Otunla explained that the initiative reflects COWA’s ongoing commitment to community development and health support. “We are determined to keep uplifting families and institutions around Idiroko. This exercise is about compassion, care, and making a real difference in people’s lives,” she said.
