This week, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), will officially kick off the construction of four new highways, the Nigerian Law School’s staff quarters, and other projects. Six new projects will be flagged off between this week and next week, according to a statement released on Monday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communication and New Media.

According to him, security agencies would also receive brand-new cars to help them carry out their responsibilities more effectively. “The construction of the Kabulsa-Takushara Access Road, the Kabusa-Ketti Access Road, the provision of an access road to the new EFCC Academy site in Giri District, and the design, construction, and furnishing of the office complex for the Body of Benchers are the projects to be flagged-off,” the spokesperson for the FCT Minister stated.

The construction of the Saburi-Dei Dei road, the repair of the 5 km Dutse-Usuma Dam route, the modernisation of the War College/Army Checkpoint, and other auxiliary roads within the Bwari Area Council were some of the projects he examined. Additionally, the Minister inspected the construction of the 4km Obafemi Awolowo Road (Arterial Road N5) from Life Camp to Ring Road III, the 11.3km Access Road to the Judges Quarters in Katampe from Arterial Road N11 (Ahmadu Bello Way in Mabushi), the 40 Housing Units Judges Quarters in Katampe District, the Internal Roads within the Judges Quarters, and the Full Scope Development of the 4km Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) from Ring Road II to Ring Road III with two interchanges.
