Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has extended his warm congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, the Governor described the completion of the fast as a deeply rewarding spiritual journey for the Muslim faithful.
He praised the Muslim community in Ekiti State for their dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout the holy month, noting that their observance reflects the core values of Islam.
Governor Oyebanji also urged Muslims in Ekiti and across Nigeria to sustain their prayers, especially for the success of President Bola Tinubu in achieving the vision of a more prosperous nation under the Renewed Hope Agenda—one that all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, can take pride in.
He further called on the Muslim community to pray for a peaceful and credible governorship election in Ekiti State, expressing hope that the June 20 poll will be conducted smoothly and that the state will continue to enjoy peace before, during, and after the election.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji described Eid-el-Fitr as a celebration of divine grace from Almighty Allah, marking the successful completion of a spiritually demanding period and a renewed bond between the faithful and their Creator.
He encouraged Muslims to carry forward the values and lessons gained during Ramadan, applying them in their interactions with fellow Muslims and people of other faiths.
With the commencement of Shawwal, the Governor also called for sustained prayers for Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole, seeking peace, progress, security, and shared prosperity across the land.
Governor Oyebanji further praised Muslim leaders in the state, particularly Jamiu Kewulere Bello, along with Islamic organisations and the wider Muslim community, for their steadfast support, which he said has played a vital role in the achievements of his administration.
“I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in thanking Almighty Allah for the grace to witness the end of Ramadan fasting, an important pillar of Islam. As we continue to seek prayers for our dear state and country, especially as the election season approaches, I urge all Muslims to uphold the values of love, devotion, charity, and prayer learned during Ramadan throughout the year.
