The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the redeployment of several senior officers to key positions across the Nigeria Police Force, as part of ongoing reforms aimed at boosting operational efficiency, strengthening leadership, and improving service delivery nationwide.
According to the directive, the postings are designed to reinforce the Force’s command structure and ensure the strategic placement of personnel across Commands, Formations, and Departments.
Among the new assignments, AIG Ado Emmanuel has been posted to Research and Planning at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo will oversee the Department of Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye takes charge of Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche moves to Training and Development. AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo will handle Police Accounts and Budget, while AIG Dahiru Mohammed has been assigned to Zone 15, Maiduguri.
Other postings include AIG Dankombo F. Morris to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services; AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing; AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos; and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit at the Force Headquarters.
At the Commissioner of Police level, several officers have also been redeployed. CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya heads to Jigawa State Command, CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin to Welfare at Force Headquarters, and CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State Command. CP Yemi John Oyeniyi takes over Delta State Command, while CP Olubode Ojajuni and CP Michael Adegoroye Falade have been posted to Ogun and Ekiti State Commands respectively.
Further postings see CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa, CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the FCT Command, and CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command. Others include CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto.
In addition, CP Akan Ezima has been appointed Director of NPF-NCCC, Abuja, while CP Abbas Sule moves to the Special Protection Unit and CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to INTERPOL, Abuja. Several others have been assigned to key units including FCID Annex offices, POLAC, SWAT, K9, Special Fraud Unit, and Community Policing departments across the country.
The Inspector-General urged all affected officers to apply their experience and expertise in their new roles, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, discipline, and dedication to service.
