Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has welcomed the recognition of the state’s outstanding performance in fiscal transparency, topping BudgIT’s States’ Fiscal Transparency League Table for four consecutive quarters in 2025.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Ekiti State was among nine states recognized for leading in fiscal transparency.
Governor Oyebanji described the accolade as a testament to his administration’s commitment to a development agenda rooted in accountability and transparency. He reaffirmed that the state will continue to drive its shared prosperity agenda, with a focus on open governance and active citizen participation.
According to the BudgIT report released earlier this week, Ekiti State excelled across key transparency measures, including the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, Approved Budget, Quarterly Budget Implementation Report, Audited Financial Statements, Accountant General’s Report, e-procurement, and the Fiscal Data Repository.
