Facebook Brings Creativity and Connection to Life at Lagos Fashion Week 2025

Lagos, Nigeria — For three vibrant days at Lagos Fashion Week 2025, Facebook unveiled its first-ever Facebook Lounge Experience, an immersive hub designed to celebrate creativity, connection, and community among Nigeria’s young adults, designers, fashion lovers, and digital creators.

The lounge captured the spirit of how young Nigerians are using Facebook to discover their passions, express themselves, and connect with a wider world — while also spotlighting the tools that help creators build communities and grow their craft into real opportunities.

“Facebook continues to be a leading space for conversations around culture — not just in Nigeria but globally,” said Oluwasola Obagbemi, Head of Communications, Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta. “Lagos Fashion Week perfectly showcases how our platform brings people together to celebrate creativity, style, and community in real time. We’re inspired by how young adults in Nigeria are using Facebook tools like Marketplace — where fashion is the top category — as well as Reels and Groups to share their stories and turn passion into opportunity. We’ll keep building features that help people explore their interests and connect in deeper, more meaningful ways.”

Throughout the three-day showcase, the Facebook Lounge buzzed with energy and conversation. Media presenter and content creator Joseph Onaolapo (Jay On-Air) joined fashion influencer Nonye Udeogu (Thisthingcalledfashion) to host live interviews and behind-the-scenes social moments — showing how creators use Reels, Groups, and Meta AI to foster engagement and build thriving online communities.

The space became a creative playground where Nigerian celebrities, designers, and fashion enthusiasts mingled, relaxed, and created unforgettable moments. Guests took part in interactive photo sessions, Facebook-themed games, and the fan-favorite Reels Booth, where they captured short videos that embodied the style and excitement of Lagos Fashion Week.

With this debut lounge, Facebook reaffirmed its commitment to empowering people to explore their interests, share their creativity, and build meaningful connections both online and offline.
