As the November 8, 2025, governorship election draws near, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has called on Nigerians—especially residents of Anambra—to embrace unity, inclusivity, and active participation in the democratic process.

Speaking to a vibrant crowd of thousands gathered under the banner of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Awka, Governor Soludo expressed deep gratitude for their endorsement of his second-term bid.
“I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of love and confidence I’ve received here today,” the Governor said, according to his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.
Soludo used the occasion to champion national unity and shared responsibility, reminding citizens that the strength of Nigeria lies in its diversity. Referring to the national anthem, he said:
“The line ‘In brotherhood we stand’ should not just be words we recite—it should be a way of life. We must live it and work it out every day.”
Highlighting Anambra’s inclusive policies, Governor Soludo reaffirmed that the state belongs to everyone who resides within it.
“Once you live in Anambra, you are part of us and treated equally,” he declared.
He cited his administration’s recruitment of 8,115 teachers from 18 different states in its first nine months as proof of this inclusivity.
“The best driver I’ve had isn’t from Anambra, and some of the finest minds I’ve worked with come from all over Nigeria. We are one people,” he added.
The Governor also spoke about his government’s free education policy in public primary and secondary schools, as well as free antenatal and delivery services across the state, reaffirming that these initiatives benefit all residents, regardless of origin.
Looking ahead to the November election, Soludo urged citizens to take ownership of their civic duty.
“Wherever you live should be your home. It is the duty of every citizen to come out and vote on November 8,” he said, encouraging voters to mobilize their communities and participate fully in shaping the state’s future.
He applauded the grassroots-driven nature of his campaign, where communities have voluntarily contributed funds to support his vision.
“This is the first time in Anambra that the people themselves have taken ownership of a campaign. We’re only just beginning the journey of building the Anambra of our dreams,” he said.
The event was filled with goodwill messages from various community leaders, including Gidado Sadiki from the Fulani community and Moses Agbom from Ebonyi State, who commended Soludo’s inclusive leadership and commitment to fostering unity. Representatives from Akwa Ibom, Igala, and other ethnic groups also expressed their appreciation for the Governor’s recognition and inclusion of all residents in the state’s development agenda.
Their collective endorsement reflected the growing sense of belonging across Anambra, as Governor Soludo continues to lead a government built on fairness, inclusion, and shared progress.
