Preparations are in full swing for the 17th edition of Arise 2025, a flagship humanitarian programme of the non-profit organization Arise Women, dedicated to uplifting the less privileged and empowering women across Nigeria.

The convener, Dr. Siju Iluyomade, said this year’s edition, scheduled for November 1st and 2nd, will be special, building on the remarkable success of last year’s event which touched communities such as Surulere, Mushin, Ojuelegba, and Apapa. In 2024, Arise Women partnered with the Nigerian Medical Students Association to provide medical outreach, while also distributing over 2,000 Arise Pink Buckets filled with food essentials to needy households.
The 2025 edition, themed “Greatness, Resilience, Innovation, and Teamwork (GRIT)”, will once again bring together thousands of participants from within Nigeria and beyond, both physically and online.
Activities will kick off on November 1st with the popular Arise Walk for Life in Victoria Island, Lagos. The health walk, designed to promote wellness, highlight the work of non-profits, and champion women empowerment, will end with an energetic celebration featuring music, dance, gospel artistes, comedians, and celebrity appearances.
On November 2nd, the Arise Women Conference will take place at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island. Distinguished Nigerian women leaders will deliver inspiring talks on the GRIT theme, while thousands of underprivileged attendees will benefit from the Arise Pink Bucket packages packed with food supplies.
For over 16 years, Arise Women has consistently impacted communities nationwide through humanitarian interventions such as building and equipping hospitals and schools in rural areas, drilling boreholes, setting up mobile clinics and computer centres, and running women empowerment initiatives.
