Prof. Solo Osita Chukwulobelu, Director-General of the Soludo–Ibezim Campaign Organisation (SICO), has said the team will keep its attention firmly on Anambra’s future as the November governorship election approaches.

Speaking on recent political tensions, Prof. Chukwulobelu noted that the growing popularity of Governor Charles Soludo and Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, reflected in several opinion polls, has led to distractions from some opponents. He stressed that APGA’s focus will remain on presenting clear plans for the state rather than responding to inflammatory remarks.
“The real questions in every election are about competence, character, and qualifications to serve,” he said. “Anambra has a proud tradition of producing exceptional leaders – from Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Prof. Chinua Achebe to Chief Emeka Anyaoku and many others – and we owe it to the people to uphold that standard.”
Prof. Chukwulobelu highlighted Governor Soludo’s academic and professional record – from his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Economics to international awards recognising his service as a reformer and public servant. He also praised Dr. Ibezim’s strong record as a medical doctor and administrator.
“Together, they’ve driven over 120 major achievements in under three years, all without borrowing,” he explained. “From massive infrastructure upgrades to improvements in education, healthcare, and security, the results speak for themselves.”
The DG encouraged voters to focus on policies, track records, and credible qualifications as they decide on the state’s future. He added that SICO is confident that Ndi Anambra appreciate the progress already made and are ready to support an even stronger mandate in November.
“Our campaign is about sustaining Anambra’s transformation, deepening economic growth, and keeping the state safe, united, and prosperous,” Prof. Chukwulobelu said. “That is where our energy will stay.”
