Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, accepted the award on behalf of Governor Soludo and emphasised the administration’s commitment to excellent infrastructure and sustainable urban development. He underlined that the honour is another proof of the governor’s strategic leadership and innovative policies, which have made Anambra a shining example of urban renewal in Nigeria.
“Building roads and bridges is only one aspect of Governor Soludo’s urban development strategy; another is establishing a resilient, prosperous, and inclusive state with plenty of economic prospects. This honour reaffirms our administration’s commitment to maintaining the pace and advancing Ndi Anambra even further,” Dr. Ibezim said.
Governor Soludo’s expanding list of national honours is augmented by this most recent honour. The Sun Newspaper named him Governor of the Year for Good Governance, the Vanguard Newspaper named him Governor of the Year for Economic Transformation, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) named him an Icon of Societal Transformation recently honoured him.These honours serve as evidence of his administration’s outstanding influence in a number of fields.
Anambra State has entered a new age of development and progress under Governor Soludo’s administration, notably in the areas of infrastructure, economic expansion, security, and education. Christian Aburime, the governor’s chief press secretary, claims that in order to draw in investors and stimulate the economy, Soludo’s government has led the dualisation of important roads in Awka, Onitsha, and Nnewi, modernised marketplaces, and improved public infrastructure.
