Customers of the Pan-African bank participated in monthly, quarterly, and grand prize draws during this six-month program, which lasted from July 1 to December 31, 2024, to win a variety of financial rewards. According to the breakdown of rewards, four customers won N2 million each in the final grand prize draws, 16 customers received N500,000 each in the quarterly draws, and 520 customers won N50,000 apiece in the monthly draws.
Four Nigerian regions were included in the promo: Lagos, the FCT and North, the Midwest and Southwest, and the South-South Southeast. Lottery regulatory officials saw the draws, which were carried out in a transparent manner. Adeola Ogunyemi, Head of Consumer Banking, spoke at the grand finale in Lagos over the weekend and said she was thrilled with how the consumers responded to the promotion, which was designed to encourage saving.
She emphasised that the program was a component of Ecobank’s plan to increase financial inclusion and reward loyal customers, especially for Nigerians living in rural and semi-urban areas. “In the last six months, we’ve seen a tremendous response from our customers,” Ogunyemi stated. “People’s awareness of the value of saving is growing. Earning a lot of money is never enough. You must therefore practise self-discipline. How much you can keep is more important than how much comes in. Ogunyemi also urged people who haven’t opened an Ecobank account to think of the bank as a trustworthy companion on their financial path.
She emphasised that Ecobank provides a number of services, including as investments, loans, and savings, that are intended to satisfy different client demands. In a same vein, Victor Yalokwu, Head of Consumer Segments & Products, clarified that the bank started the promotion to reward clients and promote saving. “Our goal was to cater to the mid-to-low or mass-market segments,” Yalokwu stated.
“We also have initiatives targeting the mid-to-high, mass affluent, and high-net-worth individuals, but this promotion was designed to be more inclusive, reaching those in the mass market.” Many of the winners who were called during the drawings expressed their gratitude and excitement for Ecobank, and many of them promised to keep doing business with the bank because of its wide range of products.
In addition to offering a special chance to win cash prizes and take advantage of the advantages of saving with Ecobank, the Ecobank Super Rewards “Millionaire Geng” campaign is an exciting savings effort created to honour and reward devoted clients.
