Timothy Oladimeji, inDrive’s Country Representative in Nigeria, stated that the company’s goal in collaborating with these programs is to promote community, creativity, and accessibility for students and young business owners in order to transcend beyond mobility.
Oladimeji clarified that its dedication to reinventing chances for Nigeria’s young and entrepreneurial landscape is demonstrated by the combination of equitable mobility with community-driven empowerment activities. At inDrive, we support community-driven transformation and equity.
In addition to offering mobility solutions, we’re enabling students and young entrepreneurs to connect, invent, and prosper through programs like “Level Up Your Drive” and our collaboration with the University of Ibadan and Ibadan Startup Fest,” he stated. The University of Ibadan in Ibadan launched the “Level Up Your Drive” campaign on November 18 and it will conclude on December 6.
The program’s goals are to improve students’ mobility and build a campus community. Through a variety of interactive activities, such as free Wi-Fi zones, daily interactions with inDrive agents, and weekly raffles where students who complete five rides in a week have the chance to win branded items like bags and bottles, the initiative encourages students to get involved and benefit.
Students may now finance their weekend commutes thanks to a 50% Sunday cashback offer. However, inDrive will collaborate with the Ibadan StartUp Fest, which will take place at the International Conference Centre in Ibadan on November 29 and 30. It is anticipated that thousands of aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs will be there. InDrive is providing registered participants with 50% payback on transportation to the event as part of their partnership.
To get the cashback, attendees must bring their inDrive receipts to the event. This project demonstrates inDrive’s dedication to funding youth-focused initiatives that foster creativity and entrepreneurship.
Over 2,000 children are anticipated to have benefited from the initiative by the end of the campaign, and one fortunate participant will receive a ₦100,000 grand prize. In early 2025, the ride-hailing platform intends to extend the program to the Universities of Benin and Port Harcourt.
