Dr. Matawalle commended the commitment and professionalism of the Nigerian military, especially the Armed Forces of Nigeria, and emphasized the notable achievements made by the military in the fight against regional insecurity. “They will continue to play a critical role in safeguarding our nation,” he said.
President Tinubu was commended by the Minister for his government’s dedication to provide the resources required to sustain operational effectiveness in addressing security concerns in the North-West. Additionally, he reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening NAF’s capabilities as part of the region’s strategic battle against insecurity.
The goal of Dr. Matawalle’s operational visit to Sokoto State was to restore public confidence in the Federal Government’s endeavors to bring peace and security back to the North-West. Many bandit commanders were eliminated as a result of his presence, along with that of the Chief of Defense Staff and other military officers, including Halilu Buzu Sububu.
This illustrates the government’s will to apprehend terrorists and criminals. To guarantee the success of ongoing operations, the Minister urged citizens of Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, and Kebbi states to maintain their vigilance and work with security forces.
