This shift in leadership is a significant turning point for FIPAN, as the organisation continues to be dedicated to promoting the growth and sustainability of Nigeria’s feed business, which continues to be a vital component of the nation’s agricultural economy. Because of his extensive background in the agriculture industry, Dr. Oduntan is well-suited to guide FIPAN through this transitional phase.
Dr. Oduntan is the Group Managing Director of Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, Amo Byng Nigeria Limited, natnudO Foods, Diversay Solutions Limited, and DSL Pharma in addition to his new position as FIPAN President. His tenure as the National President of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) is proof of his long-standing dedication to enhancing the agricultural environment of the nation.
In addition to expressing gratitude for the association’s confidence in him, Dr. Oduntan underlined his commitment to taking on the most important issues facing the sector.
“The future of our industry depends on our ability to work together, innovate, and create a more resilient and efficient feed production ecosystem,” he said, emphasising the need for increased collaboration within the sector. I’ll concentrate on making sure FIPAN offers the guidance and assistance required to accomplish these objectives.
Dr. Oduntan intends to create strategic partnerships with important commodity groups and agricultural associations, including the Nigeria Soybean Association and the Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN), in accordance with this objective. These collaborations improve access to necessary raw resources, strengthen stakeholder networks, and streamline supply chains.
These kinds of partnerships should help with the difficulties associated with procuring raw materials and boost industry productivity as a whole. The animal feed industry is represented by FIPAN, which includes feed millers, distributors, manufacturers of premix and concentrate, importers of additives and ingredients, and suppliers of equipment.
Raw material producers include flour and vegetable oil mills. The industry brings in between $2 and $3 billion a year. Through lobbying, industry standards formulation, and member assistance, FIPAN is dedicated to developing the sector and contributing significantly to the agricultural and economic growth of Nigeria.
FIPAN is optimistic that the association will maintain its role as a unifying force for the feed industry under Dr. Oduntan’s direction, promoting sustainable practices that benefit the whole agricultural value chain, securing supply chains, and improving production quality. Dr. Oduntan succeeds Mr. Raymond Isiadinso, the outgoing president, who made great advancements in the association’s member involvement and advocacy initiatives throughout his term.
