Rasheed Bolarinwa is appointed Head of the FinanceHub Committee by NIPR.

Rasheed Bolarinwa, the President of the Association of Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB), has been appointed by the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to lead the newly established Management Committee of FinanceHub.

According to NAN, the committee’s goal is to advance sustainable PR practices in the financial industry by include representatives from banking, insurance, and pensions.
Along with other appointees from the maritime and aviation sectors of the economy, Bolarinwa is anticipated to contribute his breadth of knowledge from media, PR, and the financial industry to the banking, insurance, and pension sectors.

Bolarinwa is Polaris Bank’s Head of Corporate Communication and Brand Management at the moment. After serving two terms as the association’s secretary-general, he was re-elected president of ACAMB, the organisation that represents all corporate and marketing communications directors of Nigerian banks, in January 2024.

It is anticipated of the committee members to advance sustainable PR practices. Other appointees as chairpersons of other recently established sectoral hubs were Mr. Basil Agboarumi for the Aviation Hub, Dr. Jossy Nkwocha for the Energy Hub, and Mrs. Thelma Okoh for the Maritime Hub. Dr. Ahmad Sajoh for the Anti-Corruption and Consumer Protection Hub and Miss Chimdi Neliaku for the Young Practitioners Hub were also appointed. The Institute’s Registrar/Secretary to the NIPR Governing Council, Uzoma Onyegbadue, signed the nomination letters that were delivered to the recently appointed chairpersons.

According to the institute, the establishment of the sectoral centres aimed to develop effective and long-lasting public relations strategies throughout the sectors that were included. Dr. Ike Neliaku, National President of NIPR, expressed his pleasure with the nominees’ qualifications during the inauguration of the Chairmen and Committee Members of the Sectoral Hubs.

“We think your appointments are thoughtful. It symbolises the faith and confidence the NIPR council has in your knowledge, devotion, and hard work in helping to realise the Hub’s goals, he stated.

Along with other members of the governing council, Neliaku gave the sectoral hubs the council’s and his own backing. In his remarks, he expressed his excitement about working with everyone of you to positively influence sustainable and profitable public relations strategies in each of Nigeria’s sectoral hubs.
