On Monday, the Nigeria Police Force issued a wanted list for Andrew Wynne, a.k.a. Andrew Povich, a British national, and Lucky Obiyan, a Nigerian, on charges of conspiring to topple the nation’s democratically elected government.

The British national was charged by the authorities with creating a network of sleeper cells with the intention of overthrowing the government and entering a state of chaos. The Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, told reporters in Abuja that Wynne set up a school at Labour House and booked a place to act as a ruse.
“A thorough investigation into the actions of foreign nationals and subversive elements attempting to overthrow Nigeria’s democratically elected government by arranging violence throughout the nation and implementing an unconstitutional regime change has been initiated,” he declared.
Nine suspects who received significant financial support from external sources to destabilise the nation have been captured after extensive intelligence collection and cooperation with other security services.
According to preliminary findings, they may have planned and supported violent protests, spread false information, and engaged in other criminal acts in order to incite chaos and provide cover for their illegal scheme to topple the administration that was duly elected. “Investigations have revealed the identity of a foreign mercenary, British national Andrew Wynne (also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey), who constructed a network of sleeper cells with the intention of overthrowing the government and bringing about anarchy in the country.
In order to conceal his subversive actions, he founded “STARS of Nations Schools” and leased premises in Labour House, Abuja, for a “Iva Valley Bookshop.” According to Adejobi, Wynne allegedly supplied the funds and operational direction needed to overthrow the nation’s elected government, as shown by admissions and documented evidence. He declared, “Confessions and documentary evidence showed that Andrew Wynne gave orders, tracked developments, and offered financial and practical advice to bring about an unlawful regime change in Nigeria.
“He organised and sent out billions of naira to his allies in Nigeria, urging them to organise the populace to storm military barracks and police stations with violence, expecting a carnage that would provoke international censure of the Nigerian government.” The Terrorism (Prevention) Act of 2011 and other pertinent laws are clearly broken by these acts, the FPRO continued.
Wynne and his local coordinator, Obiyan, had left the country, according to Adejobi. “Andrew Wynne has left the country since the investigations began,” he declared.
As a result, he and one of his local coordinators, Lucky Ehis Obiyan, have been proclaimed wanted, and as part of this inquiry, a global search has been launched for them.
