On Wednesday, July 29, 2024, the presentation took place at the Olayode mansion in Lagos. This action comes after Airtel promised on its official X Twitter to join other kind-hearted Nigerians in supporting the young couple whose four infants arrived as a complete surprise after failing to show up in multiple pregnancy scans. “When life gives quadruplets, we give #ovajara support!” stated Airtel’s message. Great things come in multiples, which is why we’re adding N2 million.” Carl Cruz, the CEO of Airtel Nigeria, commented on the donation, saying, “This gesture underscores Airtel Nigeria’s dedication to enriching lives and bringing joy to the communities we serve, especially through our CSR.”

We are aware of the financial strain that comes with raising children of the same age in the same household, and we hope that this donation will not only provide the Olayode family with much-needed support, but also encourage other people and organisations to provide assistance wherever it may be needed.

In keeping with its long-standing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and helping the weak in Nigerian society, he emphasised the company’s joy in helping the family. This act demonstrates Airtel Nigeria’s commitment to improving people’s lives and uplifting the communities we serve, particularly through our CSR. We recognise the financial burden of raising children of the same age in a single family, and we hope that this donation will provide the Olayode family with much-needed assistance while also encouraging other people and organisations to provide support wherever it may be required,” he continued.

The Olayode quadruplets’ birth also perfectly captures the essence of the Airtel Ovajara campaign, which is predicated on the idea that life frequently surpasses expectations. Mr. Cruz said, “As a company, we are proud to demonstrate this understanding in both our actions and our services.”

Mrs. Abiodun Olayode thanked Airtel Nigeria for the help, expressing thanks on behalf of her husband Sodiq and the entire family for the donation. “I want to express my gratitude to Airtel Nigeria for their ovajara compassion. I can confidently state that this donation will undoubtedly go a long way in raising our children because you have stepped in for us during this special time in our life,” she remarked. With its cutting-edge voice bundle, Airtel Ovajara, customer recharges are worth eight times more.

In all of the places where it works, Airtel is steadfast in its commitment to uplifting and empowering people and families in need. Through a number of stand-alone programs and projects under its extensive CSR umbrella, such as Airtel Touching Lives, Employee Volunteer Scheme, Adopt A School, and its expansive Reimagine Education partnership with UNICEF, the telco has proven its dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians.
