The Eko Convention Centre on Victoria Island in Lagos is set to host the conference on December 4–5, 2024, with the theme “Payment System Vision 2030: Navigating Contemporary Issues in Driving Future Growth.” The main goal of CeBIH, which is composed of elite electronic business professionals from all Nigerian banks, is to promote electronic banking services that adhere to international best practices.

By assessing progress, highlighting significant achievements, and tackling issues within the payment ecosystem, the CeBIH 2024 Conference will be crucial in furthering the objectives of Payment System Vision (PSV) 2030. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) created the PSV 2030 as a strategic framework to direct the development of the nation’s payment systems during the ensuing ten years.

PSV 2030 seeks to further promote financial inclusion, stimulate innovation in the payments industry, and assist Nigeria’s larger digital economy by building on the achievements of earlier programs such as the Payment System Vision 2020. In advance of Mitchell Elegbe, Founder and Group Managing Director of Interswitch, giving a keynote speech titled “The Impact of Globalization and the Gig Economy on Inclusive Payment Systems in Nigeria,” he said, Our goal of creating smooth, safe, and future-ready payment systems for Africa is ideally aligned with CeBIH and the 2024 CeBIH annual conference, which we are honored to support.

This collaboration demonstrates Interswitch’s dedication to promoting innovation and developing the payments ecosystem. By working together, we hope to solve the changing issues surrounding digital payments and support the growth of a strong, equitable, and sustainable digital economy throughout Africa.

In addition to encouraging communication and cooperation between financial institutions, fintech firms, and regulators, the CeBIH 2024 conference will examine how innovation and technology are propelling digital financial inclusion. Additionally, policy proposals will be developed at the conference with the goal of fostering an atmosphere that will promote the expansion and sustainability of Nigeria’s payment ecosystem. In addition, politicians, industry professionals, and thought leaders will convene at this year’s event to discuss methods that will influence payments in Nigeria and elsewhere.

Inspiring keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive workshops aimed at producing significant results will also be included. Interswitch’s continued dedication to fostering innovation and influencing the direction of payments in Nigeria is demonstrated by its sponsorship of the 2024 CeBIH annual conference.

Interswitch continues to play a significant role in promoting cooperation among important stakeholders, expanding digital financial inclusion, and encouraging the growth of a strong and sustainable payment ecosystem by sponsoring this significant event.

Interswitch continues to play a significant role in the financial ecosystem as Nigeria works to reach the goals of PSV 2030. It collaborates with experts in the sector to make sure that Africa’s payment systems adapt to the changing needs of its citizens. For Nigeria and beyond, Interswitch will keep setting the standard for a smooth, safe, and inclusive digital economy.
