UNTIL IMPORTANT SECURITY AGENCIES AND AUTHORITY DO THEIR INVESTIGATION, PRETTY OKAFOR’S SUSPENSION REMANDS IN EFFECT – PMAN

The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) National Working Committee (NWC) hereby notifies the public to disregard the false information that the National Executive Committee (NEC) has lifted Mr. Pretty Okafor’s suspension.

Thank you for visiting The Vestigator, don't forget to share!

This is not accurate and does not reflect the NWC/NEC’s official stance. Please be aware that the present Acting President, Sunny Neji, and the General Secretary are the only ones authorised to call a NEC meeting; the other Executives are unaware of the alleged NEC meeting.

To be clear, the NWC has not called a meeting of the NEC to discuss or decide what to do with Mr. Pretty Okafor’s suspension moving forward. The suspension is in place for all time.

We have also learnt that Mr. Pretty Okafor orchestrated a break-in at the PMAN Secretariat on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, thereby committing a serious legal offence.

According to reports, he dispatched people to forcibly enter the building in order to look for documents that could implicate him, particularly the passports. The security guards on duty attested to this criminal behaviour, and they gave the police force a confessional statement. According to the statement, Mr. Okafor threatened the security personnel if they reported the break-in through one of the invaders.

Kindly note that Mr. Pretty Okafor is still suspended and that you should completely disregard any comment that he or anybody else makes.

Any formal decisions made by the NWC about the prospective date of a PMAN NEC meeting will be shared following the completion of a comprehensive and legal inquiry by the appropriate authorities.

Signed:

Boniface Itodo (Aita Bonny)
General Secretary PMAN
