Shehu Sani, a former senator from the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, asserted that the recent visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari by a few well-known Northern politicians was a plot to remove President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The same Buhari who governed Nigeria for eight years left the North worse off than he found it, according to Senator Sani, who posted the statement on his verified Facebook page on Monday. He also said that it is too soon to forget.
“Looking deeper and beyond the facade, it is a new attempt to build a strong northern alliance using ex-President Buhari as a rallying point to challenge and evict President Tinubu’s government in 2027,” the author wrote of the recent visits to Daura by a number of prominent Northern politicians.
“Northern political factions are reorganizing in preparation for the upcoming general election. A project that will ultimately be abandoned.
“They seek to rally the credulous to yet another pointless and perplexing demise by bringing back Buhari’s political charisma and passion. Without taking into account the potential fire that will result, they wish to store up and ignite the Arewa sentiment.
Poverty and instability in Nigeria were at an all-time high by the time he stepped down from office.
“They squandered their authority; what are they hoping to do with it now?
“It is only been a year since a Southerner assumed leadership.” The desperate and power-hungry northern elite should not be scheming just yet. That is never what the South did to Buhari. When the South becomes aware of this fact, their planned action has the potential to topple the democratic process and the nation’s precarious unity.
It is unacceptable that they are fixated on power. It is every Nigerian’s democratic right to oppose Tinubu’s policies, promises, and projects. Speaking up against the government is a right that everyone enjoys.
However, in this day and age, trying to incite Northern feeling in order to further one’s political objectives is a risky political experiment. For eight years, no credible southerner has challenged Buhari; these power-hungry politicians from the North are pushing the region through a landmine into a new political era.
“For eight years, Buhari’s rule guaranteed the nepotistic appointment, establishment, and domination of Northerners in key positions of authority and influence. The findings demonstrated that they merely benefited themselves, ravaged the nation’s economy, and reduced our nation to poverty.
“The Daura tribute to the enraged and fixated will fall flat. These faces and their schemes should be rejected by the people of the North.
They are worthless in my opinion. They failed at Ajaokuta, refilling the Lake Chad Basin, Mambilla hydropower, and the abandoned Baro Port. They took over when terrorists held control of the North and left it in the hands of both bandits and terrorists. He declared, “The Northern Talakawa should not put up with their pranks.
