On Friday, there was a noticeable tenseness in Ojurowo, Folumo, in the Isale Eko region of Lagos Island, Lagos State, following the public’s capture of an unidentified woman who was abducting and reselling children.

The youngsters were taken by the woman from the state’s Ijora region, and she transported them to Isale Eko with the intention of selling them.
In a video clip that went viral on X on Friday, people congregated outside a building that may have been the location where the woman was apprehended while doing her illegal activities business.
The mother said that she intended to sell the kids for N250,000, according to the person heard speaking on camera.
“They discovered five kids with her. She claimed that she makes N250,000 by selling each of them for N50,000. They reported that she had traveled from Ijora with the five kids. The man was heard adding, “If you know anyone looking for their child in Ijora, please come to Isale Eko in Ojurowo.”
But in a conversation on Friday, State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated that a 20-year-old man named Maxwell Nweke had been taken into custody for kidnapping five youths in the Adeniji Adele neighborhood of Lagos Island.
It was learned that Nweke bought N500 worth of puff puff from the victims and then tricked them into following him to an unidentified place.
When the victims realized the suspect had duped them, though, they sounded the alarm. As a result, on Thursday afternoon, police officers in Adenji Adele arrested Nweke.
“Officers of Adeniji Adele arrested one Maxwell Nweke, aged 20,” stated Hundeyin. Five youngsters between the ages of eight and twelve were in his care.According to preliminary investigations, the suspect paid for puff puff right away after purchasing it from one of them for N200.
“After that, he got N500 worth of puff-puff and asked the boys to go with him to Lagos Island so he could get the money.”
“The guys thought he was taking them to some unknown location while they were traveling. The youngsters promptly set off an alarm that called for the suspect’s detention. The inquiry is still underway, but the boys and their parents have been reunited.
