One of the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter has passed away at the cold hands of death.
Thank you for visiting The Vestigator, don't forget to share!
She is Alhaja Ramota Bankole, the party’s previous welfare secretary for the state.
Bankole completed her Hajj rituals before passing away in Saudi Arabia. She was reportedly one of many pilgrims who passed away from the extreme heat they encountered on the journey.
The Chairmen of the Eredo and Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), as well as Epe Local Government, confirmed her death.
The sad news of her death coincides with a spike in pilgrim deaths—more than 900 people have died as a result of the extreme heat.
Bankole was highly esteemed for her noteworthy services to the APC, having recently marked her 60th birthday last month.
Surah Animashaun, the Chairman of Epe Local Government, offered her sympathies and mentioned that Bankole was in good health before to her pilgrimage.
Both the political party she worked for and her community are deeply saddened by her untimely death.
“I got the news of Alhaja Ramota Bankole’s death with a heavy heart and a deep sense of grief,” the statement reads.I learned today that she passed away while on a holy trip in Mecca, thus it is a really sad day.
“I offer my deepest sympathies to the Bankole family, APC member, and the entire Epe community on the tragic passing of our beloved Mummy and Sister.”
