The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has praised Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for what it described as remarkable leadership and impactful governance over the last seven years, giving his administration a 99 percent performance rating.
In a statement issued to mark the governor’s seventh year in office, KACRAN National President, Khalil Mohd Bello, said Governor Buni has distinguished himself through policies and programmes that have positively affected key sectors, including agriculture, education, commerce, youth empowerment, and livestock development.
The association noted that the governor’s investments in agriculture have contributed significantly to increased food production. According to KACRAN, farmers across the state have benefited from the distribution of tractors, harvesters, fertilizers, and other agricultural inputs, many of which were provided free or at subsidized rates.
KACRAN also commended the administration for creating a dedicated Ministry of Livestock Development, describing the move as a strategic step toward strengthening one of Yobe’s most vital economic sectors. The group further applauded the governor for appointing capable individuals to key government positions.
The association highlighted ongoing efforts to boost economic activities through the construction of modern markets in major towns, noting that these projects have expanded business opportunities and enhanced Yobe’s reputation as a growing commercial hub in the North-East.
In the education sector, KACRAN said the administration has recorded notable achievements through investments in schools, infrastructure, and human capital development, which have helped improve educational standards and competitiveness in the state.
The group further stated that thousands of young people and women have benefited from employment opportunities, empowerment initiatives, and financial support programmes designed to encourage entrepreneurship and economic independence.
Beyond Yobe State, KACRAN acknowledged Governor Buni’s contributions to national politics, referencing his previous role as Chairman of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and his current position as head of the party’s reconciliation committee.
According to the association, the governor has displayed strong leadership, political maturity, and effective conflict-resolution skills in handling internal party matters, earning respect as a bridge-builder within the APC.
“KACRAN’s assessment indicates that Governor Buni has delivered meaningful results across nearly every sector that directly impacts the wellbeing of the people,” the statement noted.
The association concluded that the governor’s seventh anniversary in office is worthy of celebration by the people of Yobe State and members of the APC, citing his commitment to development, unity, and public service.
Since assuming office in 2019, Governor Buni has continued to attract support from various groups and stakeholders who credit his administration with implementing development-focused initiatives while maintaining an active role in national political affairs.
