The Lagos State Audit Service Commission has concluded a verification exercise involving all auditors in the Lagos State Public Service, as part of ongoing efforts to promote transparency, maintain accurate personnel records, and improve administrative efficiency.
The exercise, coordinated by the Commission’s Career Management Department (CMD), commenced on Monday, May 11, and ended on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Speaking on the development, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Mrs. Oluwakemi Amudat Garbadeen-Adedeji, said the exercise was introduced to verify the authenticity of officers’ academic and professional credentials, while also ensuring that personnel records across the State Public Service are properly updated and well documented

She explained that officers who took part in the exercise were asked to present the original copies of their academic and official service documents for proper verification, confirmation, and record keeping.
Mrs. Garbadeen-Adedeji also revealed that all verified certificates would be digitised and uploaded to a secure cloud-based platform to ensure safe and sustainable documentation, easy access, and smooth retrieval whenever needed.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the initiative is in line with the Lagos State Government’s drive for institutional reforms, improved records management, transparency, accountability, and the adoption of technology-driven solutions to enhance efficiency in the Public Service.
She noted that the exercise would further strengthen credibility within the system and support the State Government’s vision of building a more efficient, responsive, and technology-driven Public Service.
