Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court on Wednesday sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman to 75 years in prison over corruption charges connected to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
The court found him guilty on a 12-count charge, and ruled that the sentences will run one after the other, amounting to a total of 75 years behind bars. Justice Omotosho also ordered that the sentence will only take effect from the day Mamman is taken into custody.

The judge further ordered security agencies to immediately arrest Mamman wherever he is located.
The court also ruled that any money and properties recovered from the former minister should be forfeited to the Federal Government. In addition, he was directed to repay the remaining funds tied to the alleged ₦22 billion connected to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
