Residents of the Ojora Isale-Ebute community, made up of eleven streets and led by Omoba Ajibola Odunsi Ojora, have appealed passionately to the Lagos State Government and His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Abdul-Fatai Aremu Oyeyinka Aromire Oyegbemi II, the Oba of Ojora, over the proposed demolition of their homes.
The affected areas include Tide Gate Street, Ajibola Odunsi Street, Church Street, Fatai Sulaiman Street, Ebute Street, Oyegbe Street, Aromire Street, Ali-Balogun Street, Sanni-Balogun Street, Odofin Court, and Kalili Street.
To express their concerns and seek urgent intervention, residents of the Ijora Isale-Ebute community in Apapa Local Government Area staged a peaceful protest, calling attention to the hardship and uncertainty the planned demolition could bring to their lives.

The protesters marched from Tide Gate Street to the palace of the monarch in the Ijora Oloye Community, voicing their fears and concerns over the proposed demolition notice that has left many residents worried and uncertain.
Reacting to the situation, Oba Abdul-Fatai Aremu Oyeyinka Aromire Oyegbemi II, alongside the Bashorun and Odofin of the Ojora Kingdom, addressed the anxious residents. The monarch disclosed that the palace had not received any official notification from any government agency concerning the planned demolition.
While acknowledging the tension and fears within the community, the traditional ruler appealed to residents to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while efforts continue to ascertain the true situation.
