On 22 April 2026, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, was present at the closing ceremony of the Squadron Commanders’ Training Programme held at the Police Mobile Force (PMF) Training College in Ende-Hills, Nasarawa State. The event formed part of ongoing efforts to enhance leadership skills and improve operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.
During his visit, the IGP toured several training facilities, including the simulation ground and shooting range. He also took part in tactical exercises, demonstrating practical leadership and underscoring the importance of continuous, real-life scenario training in modern policing.
While speaking to cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy currently undergoing training at the college, the Inspector-General urged them to stay disciplined, focused, and fully committed to the demands of their programme. He stressed the need for resilience, professionalism, and strict respect for human rights, adding that the quality of their training would ultimately shape their performance and conduct in the field.

In his address at the closing ceremony, the Inspector-General of Police commended the Squadron Commanders for successfully completing the intensive training programme. He urged them to put the knowledge gained into practical use by strengthening leadership, enhancing operational discipline, and improving tactical efficiency within their various units.
The IGP emphasized the importance of the Police Mobile Force maintaining its role as a highly disciplined, responsive, and dependable tactical arm of the Nigeria Police Force.
He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving officers’ welfare and boosting the operational capacity of the Police Mobile Force. According to him, efforts will continue to ensure that formations are properly equipped and fully prepared to respond effectively to emerging security challenges across the country.
