The Adamawa Progressives Elders Council, led by His Excellency Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd), has extended heartfelt Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Muslim community in Adamawa State and across Nigeria, celebrating the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Through a message from the Council’s Media Office, warm salutations were particularly sent to leaders of the APC in Adamawa State, including the National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the National Vice Chairman North East of the APC, the State Chairman, and all members of the State Working Committee.
Acknowledging the spiritual discipline, sacrifice, and charitable acts that marked Ramadan, General Marwa encouraged every member of the Council and all citizens of Adamawa to foster peace, unity, and a shared commitment to the state’s common heritage and prosperity.
Reflecting on the Council’s mission, he emphasized that occasions like Eid offer moments of joy that rise above divisions. “During times like this, we set aside our differences to celebrate together,” he said. “I urge us to carry this spirit beyond Eid, building bonds of unity that endure.”
The Adamawa Progressives Elders Council called on all residents to recommit to peace, unity, and the progress of the state. Muslims are encouraged to continue practicing the lessons of piety, charity, and selflessness learned during Ramadan even after the fasting period.
Speaking on behalf of the Council, General Marwa also advised APC members in Adamawa to engage in all upcoming political activities with maturity, understanding, and brotherhood. “Our goal is to promote peace, unity, and mutual understanding among all party members and, by extension, all citizens of Adamawa,” he said.
Celebrating the recently concluded e-registration of party members, General Marwa congratulated Adamawa for achieving the second-highest turnout nationwide after Lagos State. He praised the NSA, Governor Fintiri, the State Chairman, and the State Working Committee for this remarkable achievement, viewing it as a testament to the confidence the people of Adamawa have in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
On behalf of the Council, General Marwa sent warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah, praying for celebrations filled with peace, unity, and brotherhood, and for abundant blessings upon Adamawa State and its people.
