The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt Area II Command, has achieved a historic milestone, collecting a record-breaking ₦76,075,447,369.83 in revenue for October 2025 — the highest monthly figure ever recorded in the Command’s history.

This outstanding performance reflects the Command’s renewed focus on effective leadership, collaboration, and strategic stakeholder engagement under the guidance of Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali.
According to the Command, this achievement was made possible through sustained dialogue with stakeholders and consistent engagement with unit heads, aimed at promoting legitimate trade, improving compliance, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. These collective efforts have greatly boosted the Command’s revenue performance.
Comptroller Alkali’s leadership has been defined by a clear commitment to driving national economic growth through efficient revenue generation, strict enforcement of trade regulations, and the continuous facilitation of legitimate commerce.
In addition, the Customs Area Controller implemented a strategic deployment of officers to key operational points based on real-time needs — ensuring optimal use of manpower and improved efficiency across the Command. This proactive approach played a crucial role in surpassing the Command’s monthly revenue target.
Expressing his appreciation, Comptroller Alkali thanked all port stakeholders, importers, licensed agents, and the dedicated officers and men of the Command for their synergy, patriotism, and collective effort in achieving this remarkable feat. He called on all partners to sustain the momentum in the months ahead.
