The visit provided a platform for open dialogue between the legislators and LASAA’s management team, headed by Managing Director/CEO, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, on the agency’s operational performance, ongoing projects, and strategic efforts to ensure an organised, safe, and visually appealing outdoor advertising environment across Lagos State.

Prince Akiolu expressed appreciation to the committee for its consistent guidance and support, reaffirming LASAA’s dedication to professionalism and innovation in outdoor advertising regulation.

“We remain committed to global best practices in regulating outdoor advertising,” Akiolu said. “Our mission is to support the sustainable development of Lagos’s visual environment in ways that benefit both residents and visitors.”

In his remarks, Hon. Shabi Rasheed Adekola commended LASAA for its effective operations and visible impact in maintaining cleaner, safer, and more orderly public spaces across Lagos. He praised the agency’s leadership for its proactive approach and regulatory discipline.

“We recognise LASAA’s essential contribution to keeping Lagos safe, clean, and well-organised,” Adekola stated. “Strong collaboration between the legislature and government agencies like LASAA is vital to achieving the service delivery goals of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.”

The committee chairman also encouraged LASAA to intensify public awareness campaigns, emphasizing that consistent engagement with advertisers and residents will improve compliance and enhance revenue generation.

He further stressed the importance of assuring Lagosians that all outdoor structures in the state are built and maintained to the highest safety standards.

The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both the Lagos State House of Assembly and LASAA to transparency, efficiency, and innovation in public service delivery—key ingredients for improving urban aesthetics and overall quality of life in Lagos State.
