This marks a 60% increase from the ₦31.4 billion paid in the same period last year — a clear reflection of the bank’s financial strength, stability, and unwavering commitment to its shareholders despite a challenging economic climate.

The dividend payment follows the release of Zenith Bank’s audited half-year financial results for the period ended June 30, 2025, which showcased solid growth across all key performance indicators.

Speaking on the development, Group Managing Director/CEO, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON, said:

“We are delighted to deliver this strong interim dividend to our shareholders. Our half-year performance underscores our resilience, strategic focus, and commitment to sustainable value creation.

Building on the momentum achieved in the first half, we are confident that the full-year results will surpass expectations.”

The bank’s financial results revealed a 20% year-on-year growth in gross earnings, rising from ₦2.1 trillion in H1 2024 to ₦2.5 trillion in H1 2025. This was largely driven by a 60% surge in interest income, which climbed from ₦1.1 trillion to ₦1.8 trillion, thanks to strategic asset repricing and prudent treasury management.

Zenith Bank’s total assets also grew steadily to ₦31 trillion as of June 2025, up from ₦30 trillion in December 2024. Customer deposits rose by 7%, from ₦22 trillion to ₦23 trillion, reflecting continued public confidence in the bank’s brand and service excellence.
