Rite Foods Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Mentorship Through WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme 2025

Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, has once again demonstrated its dedication to youth empowerment and mentorship by partnering with Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) for the 2025 edition of the WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme, held at Majidun Senior Grammar School, Ikorodu.

The Big Sister Programme, a flagship initiative of WIMBIZ, is designed to mentor and inspire young girls—equipping them with the confidence, knowledge, and life skills needed to excel academically, professionally, and personally.

Representing Rite Foods at the event, Olukemi Ogunsakin, Corporate Communications Manager, encouraged the students to embrace resilience, adaptability, and effective resource management as vital tools for success. She noted that challenges are an essential part of growth, shaping young girls into women of strength, purpose, and virtue.

“At Rite Foods, we believe in investing in platforms that shape the future of our nation,” Ogunsakin said. “By mentoring young girls in confidence, career, and entrepreneurship, we are helping to build a generation of visionary and capable leaders. Our participation in the WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme reflects our belief that empowering young women is key to securing Nigeria’s brighter future.”

Olabisi Adebisi-Opatade, Legal Counsel at Rite Foods, also spoke to the students about career clarity and self-discovery. “The courage to choose wisely comes from knowing yourself,” she said. “When you understand your values, recognize your strengths, and work on your weaknesses, you make career choices that truly reflect who you are.”

She added that Rite Foods’ collaboration with WIMBIZ underscores the company’s identity as not just a producer of quality food and beverage products, but also a brand deeply committed to youth development and empowerment.

The initiative aligns with Rite Foods’ sustainability framework, EYEC (Education, Youth Empowerment, Environmental Stewardship, and Community Development) — a model that focuses on nurturing talent, inspiring growth, and creating lasting social impact.

Beyond this partnership, Rite Foods continues to advance its youth empowerment agenda through meaningful initiatives. In May 2025, the company donated educational materials — including school bags and exercise books — to over 2,000 students across Ogun, Lagos, and Abuja, reaffirming its dedication to education and community development.

Through consistent mentorship, education-focused projects, and empowerment programmes, Rite Foods Limited continues to play a vital role in shaping a future where every young Nigerian can dream boldly, act confidently, and lead purposefully.
