In a viral video making the rounds online, the award-winning singer confidently shared that he no longer works for money, saying he’s already financially secure. According to Davido, even if he decided to stop working today, he still has “billions of dollars” available to him—highlighting just how far he’s come in his career and business ventures.
“I’m grateful to myself for being hardworking,”Davido said. “The strength and mental ability it takes to do this work… especially when the odds are against you.”
The artist, affectionately called Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O), a nickname that translates to “Son of a Wealthy Man” emphasized that his motivation isn’t about wealth, but passion.
“I had to push myself, man. It’s another David. Get the f**k up. It was never about the money. I’ve got billions of dollars waiting for me. Even if I never work another day in my life, I’m covered. But I love what I do,” he said.
