More than 3,000 members of the late senator Ifeanyi Uba’s political organisations have formally joined the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in support of Governor Charles Soludo’s reelection, endorsing him for a second term. Afa Igbo Efuna, Ifeanyi Uba Solidarity Movement (IUSM), Uba Disciples, Young Progressive Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Uba’s Foundation, and Uba Nation Media Centre are among the political organisations.

Top government officials and political leaders attended a ceremony at the International Convention Centre in Awka, the state capital, when the decampees vowed their support for Governor Soludo, according to a report by Chiebele Obika. “We all know the late Senator Ifeanyi Uba intended for Anambra to be better, but he is no more,” stated Hon. Emma Ezike of ISUM during the event.
Thus, even before the primary election, the IUSM made the decision to follow in the footsteps of our former principal and elected to join the political family that shares our values.
As a result, we joined Prof. Charles Soludo’s administration.” Afa Igbo Efuna Coordinator Hon. James Oguejiofor made the following statement: “I had the honour of being among those who examined your project in Anambra State; prior to that project, I was unaware that you were performing outstanding job.
I went to the Fun City, the New Government House, Ekwulobia, Okpoko, and every project. Oguejiofor, a native of Oraifite, confirmed that he was thrilled to see the local road work. This piqued his curiosity in joining his people in following Soludo, and they have since done so.
In the upcoming November gubernatorial election, he also asked those in the entertainment business, such as the Nollywood sector, to run to bring Soludo back to the Awka Government House.
The governor, for his part, said that the APGA was Nigeria’s first progressive political party since 2002. He also made reference to his meetings and connection with the late Senator Uba, as well as his final meeting with him before his death.
