“It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I join you today to celebrate this momentous occasion—the ground-breaking and fundraising for the DEPOWA College Project,” Minister Badaru said in his speech, characterising the event as a historic milestone. I applaud DEPOWA for its innovative leadership in promoting this admirable cause, which reflects the unwavering dedication of our military and police families to nation-building.

The Minister emphasised the value of education by saying, “Education is the bedrock of societal progress.” For the kids of our valiant service people, this college will be a ray of hope, excellence, and opportunity. We pay tribute to their parents’ sacrifices and fortify the basis of our national security by investing in their future. To maintain peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria, a well-educated youth raised in a disciplined and patriotic atmosphere is essential. “The Ministry of Defence stands in solidarity with DEPOWA and pledges its full support to ensure the timely completion of this project,” Minister Badaru said, reinforcing the Ministry’s commitment to helping DEPOWA.

We understand that the families of those who give their lives to defend our country experience particular difficulties. While encouraging students’ academic success and moral purity, this college will lessen the burden of education. I also implore all parties involved—governmental bodies, business associations, and kindhearted citizens—to make substantial contributions to this great project.

He concluded by praising and acknowledging DEPOWA’s tenacity and empathy, saying, “To our donors and partners, your generosity will resonate through generations.” Together, we will create an organisation that will generate future innovators, leaders, and patriots. I hope your event is a success.
