Bisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has passed away at the age of 42. The mother of three reportedly died on Thursday morning in the United Kingdom after a brief illness. Before her passing, Bisola served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu. She was also a key figure in Nigeria’s luxury retail sector and a committed philanthropist. She was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a respected Ibadan-born politician and banking executive. The family is yet to announce funeral arrangements. Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed his condolences to Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late Governor Ajimobi, over the tragic loss of her daughter.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, in Ibadan, Makinde described Bisola as a warm and kind-hearted individual. He expressed his shock at the news and extended sympathies to the Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families. Similarly, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who represents Oyo South under the All Progressives Congress (APC), mourned Bisola’s passing, calling it a painful loss not only to her family but also to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Alli described Bisola as a brilliant and accomplished professional whose contributions would be greatly missed. He extended his heartfelt condolences to her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, her mother, Florence Ajimobi, and the entire Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families.
“Bisola was a woman of grace, intellect, and dedication, who upheld the values of excellence and service,” Alli stated. “Her sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones during this difficult time.”
