A Fidelity Food Bank outreach in Kabuga hamlet, Dala Local Government Area, Kano state, has helped more than 1,500 residents. Bank employees distributed necessary food products to help individuals during the holy month of Ramadan as part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, which was carried out in collaboration with the Misnoory Foundation.

Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brands and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, commented on the distribution ceremony and underlined the bank’s commitment to helping its host communities through meaningful projects. “As a bank, social responsibility is fundamental to our identity.
One of the ways we promote social welfare in our host communities is through our Fidelity Food Bank program. As part of our contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 2, which aims to achieve zero hunger, the project was started to help the most vulnerable and lessen the effects of hunger in society. As a result, since we started the program in April 2023, we have given away over 150,000 food packs at outreach gatherings like this one all throughout the nation.
Our outreach program in Kabuga aims to provide food supplies for the community during Ramadan to women, widows, and children.
