Through it, a certain amount of data can be freely used for a particular user’s navigation of a website or mobile application at no additional cost to the users. The enterprise client covers the cost of the service. With a bucket data plan, schools can purchase large quantities of data for use in teaching. For ninety days, the plan is valid.
The Gifted Data Plan, on the other hand, is valid for 30 days. The Bulk Data sponsor can give data gifts to as many Glo subscribers as they choose. Sponsors can donate data in 200MB, 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 4GB, 5GB, or 10GB increments, depending on the Pack the gifting client has subscribed to. Globacom has developed a system that allows each sponsor to customise the SMS notification that is sent to the recipient with respect to the information they have provided.
This distinguishes this product from others on the market. The gifted plans can be customised to the sponsor’s needs and preferences, but the beneficiaries of the bulk data gifting can check their own balance by using their own devices to dial the USSD code, 1270#.
Eligibility for the Bulk Data service is limited to companies and educational institutions that buy substantial amounts of data.
