“Since assuming office in 2015, Dr. Adesina has steered the AfDB towards transformative growth, making it a beacon of hope for African nations,” the governor remarked. Born on February 6, 1960, Adesina’s distinguished career in economics and development has been defined by his dedication to Africa’s progress. His re-election in 2020 underscores the confidence that member countries have in his vision and ability to drive impactful change.
