Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has clarified that the false information on his hesitation to back the release of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu was incorrectly planned.

These false opinions concerning Governor Soludo’s decision to free Kanu from custody are thought to have been spread by desperate opposition politicians who were frightened by Soludo’s remarkable accomplishments in the state’s transformation and infrastructure development.
Law Mefor, the State’s Commissioner for Information, said in a statement that Governor Soludo had surprised his detractors by exceeding his campaign pledges in less than three years. In contrast to the untrue allegations, Governor Soludo has been aggressively pursuing Nnamdi Kanu’s release and has started the administrative bail process in the hopes that it will contribute to the restoration of peace and stability in the South East.
He is extremely worried about criminals taking advantage of the Biafra agitation and using it as a profitable venture to commit ritual killings, robberies, kidnappings, and other horrible crimes in exchange for ransom. In order to combat criminal activity and create a safer state, Governor Soludo’s administration plans to implement “Operation Udo Ga-Achi” (Operation Peace Shall Reign) in January to address security concerns in the South East, especially in Anambra.
Well-meaning individuals share the governor’s fair concern that the criminal forces who have transformed the Biafra struggle into a criminal enterprise would not pay attention to Kanu.
According to what was learnt, Soludo was the first to bring several Igbo leaders to Kuje jail in 2017 to visit Nnamdi Kanu and demand his unconditional release.
