Soludo visited the family of the late Bridget Akanma Onuchukwu in Umuike, Ubahuekwem Ihiala, to offer condolences after the Monday attack that claimed seven lives, including two security officials. He also pledged to hold the attackers accountable for the heinous act.

The governor expressed sympathy to the victims’ relatives and friends in a statement issued by Christian Aburime, chief press secretary for Soludo, saying, “We will not rest until the perpetrators of this heinous crime are apprehended.”

They will all foot the bill. “We are currently pursuing them,” he continued. We will be grateful to anyone who can provide us with information that will result in their arrest. Security for Ihiala is being discussed and will be revealed shortly.

As the state’s security network becomes more aware of the necessity to safeguard the Ihiala community in order to create a safer society, Soludo assured the residents that they would be protected.
