Charles Orbih, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Assumes Command of Zone ‘A’ Headquarters

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs Charles Orbih was appointed as the new Zonal Coordinator of the Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Headquarters located in Ikeja, Lagos.

ACG Orbih underlined in his inauguration presentation his dedication to bolstering the zonal structure via collaboration, creativity, and stakeholder involvement. Focussing on innovation, cooperation, and consolidation, he matched his goals with Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s policy tenets.

Having held positions such as Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘C’ and Customs Area Controller for Imo/Abia Command, ACG Orbih brings decades of expertise to his current position. Additionally, he has taken a lot of professional management and leadership courses both domestically and abroad.

ACG Orbih is anticipated to use his experience as the new Zonal Coordinator to improve the zone’s operations and support the overall success of the Nigeria Customs Service.
