Amtis Skills Place was founded in 2015 with the goal of bridging the gap between traditional schooling and the changing labour market by providing young Nigerians with vocational skills. Emerging designers between the ages of 18 and 35 came together to create clothing inspired by retro trends at this year’s event, which was proudly sponsored by Polaris Bank. Models, makeup artists, and fashion designers are examples of teams that collaborate.

In order to honour vintage fashion eras and inspire the upcoming generation of businesspeople, participants were evaluated on their inventiveness, craftsmanship, cooperation, and devotion to the vintage concept. Three finalists were declared the winners at the competition’s awards ceremony, which was hosted by Amtis Skills Place.

The top prize winner, Wuraola Robert, received ₦500,000, while the runners-up received ₦300,000 and ₦200,000, respectively. “Polaris Bank makes sure that you achieve your dreams in the right perspective, which is why we partnered with Amtis Vintage Fashion,” said Kayode Lawal, Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, in a speech to the attendees.

We promise that in the upcoming year, there will be more significant events, more material, more giveaways, and more business sector empowerment. “We are deeply grateful to Polaris Bank for believing in our vision to nurture young talents,” said Omotunde Adebusola, Managing Director of Amtis Skills Place, in praising the bank for its crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship in the nation, particularly through the competition. This year’s event was a huge success thanks to their partnership, and we anticipate even more successful future partnerships.

Wuraola Robert, the overall winner, said, “I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to Polaris Bank for this incredible opportunity,” upon her acceptance of the top award. My career has changed as a result of this competition, and I can’t wait to use this reward to expand my brand. By enabling contestants to turn their ideas into successful careers, the Amtis Vintage Fashion Competition perfectly embodies the goals of Polaris Bank and Amtis Skills Place.

In the inaugural MSME Awards presented by Nairametrics and The Economic Forum, Polaris Bank was named Nigeria’s Best Bank for MSMEs of the Year in the Business Day Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards and Nigeria’s Best Bank in MSME Lending.
