As part of its Adopt-A-School program, Stanbic IBTC Holdings has successfully renovated six classrooms and the head teacher’s office at Waziri Primary School in Niger State. The organization’s dedication to creating better learning environments for Nigerian students is demonstrated by this program.

This is the eighth school in Nigeria to gain from the company’s dedication to educational advancement. Distinguished dignitaries, including Muhammad Baba Ibrahim, the chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Hon. Aminu Ladan, the chairman of the local government, Haj. Hadiza Shuru, the representative of the Niger State First Lady, and other important government officials and guests, attended the recent official opening of the Waziri Primary School project.
Their presence highlighted how important community involvement is to improving educational facilities. Stanbic IBTC’s commitment to sustainable educational development is demonstrated by the school’s renovations and infrastructural improvements.
Two classroom blocks were renovated, 120 new pieces of classroom furniture were installed, a modern computer lab was built, a modern block of 12 restrooms was constructed, 50 trees were planted to improve the school’s environment, and a football field was created for physical education and recreation. Along with these improvements to the infrastructure, Stanbic IBTC offered necessary educational resources to improve the quality of education for both teachers and students.
117 teachers and 1,000 students will immediately benefit from these improvements, which will give them better tools to reach their greatest potential. The dedication of Stanbic IBTC Holdings to long-term educational development was underlined by Kunle Adedeji, Acting Chief Executive. Our overarching goal of promoting sustainable growth and development in Nigeria includes the Adopt-A-School program.

The Adopt-A-School program, which is already enhancing the educational circumstances of individuals affected in the states of Ogun, Akwa Ibom, Ekiti, Sokoto, Borno, and Gombe, has reached another noteworthy milestone with this project. The Local Government Chairman, Aminu Ladan, stated in his remarks during the event how much of an impact Stanbic IBTC will have on the neighborhood. “I am proud to be the chairman of the council as a graduate of a public school.” His experience serves as a reminder of the value of education and the chances it presents.
