He stated, “I want to advocate that you should not add to what you did not see and do not add to what the person did not say.” However, the former AIG in command of Zone 7 (Niger State and Abuja FCT) praised the media for their excellent efforts to promote security and improve the country.

Among his many roles in the Force are those of Patrol and Guards, DCO, and DPO in different divisions in Anambra and Abia States, respectively; O/C SARS Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia 2001–2003; Commander of Nigeria’s Contingent on Peace Keeping to the Republic of Croatia 1997–1998; and 2i/c Area Commander, Onitsha Area Command 1998.
He served in the following capacities: DC Admin, Zone-12 Headquarters, Bauchi 2018; DC General Investigation, FCID Annex, Lagos 2018–2022; Area Commander, Omu-Aran Area Command, Kwara State 2015–2017; Area Commander, Kontagora Area Command, Niger State 2017–2018; Area Commander, Omu-Aran Area Command, Kwara State 2015–2017; and Directing Staff, Police Staff College Jos 2012–2015; and DC Operations, Zone 12 Headquarters, Bauchi in 2015. After being promoted to the rank of CP, AIG Ogundele served as CP Admin at DFA FHQ Abuja from May to October of 2022, Commissioner of Police in Niger State Command from October 2022 to October 2023, and most recently, AIG Zone 7 Abuja, which included Niger State and Abuja FCT.
