Breaking: Lawmakers Give Obasa a Vote of Confidence

The Lagos State House of Assembly’s members voted in favor of Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa on Monday, expressing their continued satisfaction with his leadership of the body.

The parliamentarians praised the Speaker for enhancing the nation’s democracy by passing legislation that benefit the people, and the vote of confidence was held on his 52nd birthday. “I stand this afternoon to propose that the Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa be given a vote of confidence so that he can carry on with his excellent job, particularly in this 10th Assembly.

It is noteworthy that the Speaker has always gotten the full support of his fellow members while making decisions in the House. Majorit Leader Noheem Adams brought up the point during a plenary led by Deputy Speaker Mojisola Lasbat Meranda: “He consults the members and gets their opinions.” After extensive consultation, Hon.
